Ebonyians in Diaspora Organisation (EIDO) is a registered non-profit organization of Ebonyians living outside the shores of Nigeria. Since its formation in 2022, it has been playing multifaceted roles to ensure that Ebonyians in the diaspora remain a dynamic and influential force in global, national and rural contexts. Today, we speak as one united people, bound by a shared heritage, a shared destiny, and a powerful mission which is to develop Ebonyi State and Ebonyi people wherever they live.\r\n\r\nItumo, EIDO President, and Ambassador Nwusulor, EIDO secretary, with Ebonyi scholars during EIDO\'s visit to the students at the University of Greater Manchester)\r\n\r\nEbonyians in Diaspora Organization, EIDO, is more than an organization. It is a movement of purpose. It is Ebonyi people\'s voice and family. The mission of EIDO is clear: to accelerate the improvement of life for all Ebonyians through promotion of good governance, protection of life, justice for all, and equal access to socio-economic opportunities. Ebonyians in Diaspora Organization is not only about connecting our people abroad; It is about transforming that connection into tangible impacts at home.\r\n\r\nThese, the organization does by protecting the rights and interests of Ebonyians everywhere; advocating for good governance, peace, justice, and equitable participation; and providing support for education, health and economic progress through ideas, expertise, innovation, and investment potentials. In fact, every skill gained abroad and every opportunity accessed overseas is an opportunity to bring progress back home.\r\n\r\nThis spirit of unity and shared responsibility was beautifully demonstrated in the recent courtesy visit of members of Ebonyians in Diaspora Organization led by the President, Dr Martin Oledibemma Itumo, and the secretary, Ambassador Chigbogu Nwusulor, to Ebonyi Scholars at the University of Greater Manchester on Saturday, 27th September 2025. In response to the scholars’ appreciation, EIDO President, Dr. Oledinma Martin Itumoh, reaffirmed EIDO’s commitment to wellbeing and progress of the scholars.\r\n\r\nIn that family reunion, the Scholars’ President was admitted into the executive body of EIDO; Ebonyi Singles\' Platform was created for meaningful relationships that will strengthen our community for generations and the EIDO media project was launched to give our people a stronger global voice and presence. The President of Ebonyi scholars, Comrade Nweze Isaiah Ifeanyi, expressed deep gratitude for EIDO’s presence, encouragement, and support.\r\n\r\nEIDO salutes Ebonyi State governor His Excellency, Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his vision and his acknowledgement of the diaspora’s vital role. Governor Nwifuru has taken bold steps in capacity building; reforming the health sector, expanding educational opportunities, vocational training and investing in youth empowerment programmes. This administration has laid the foundations for sustainable growth. His commitment to human capital development is already transforming lives and positioning Ebonyi State as a centre of excellence.\r\n\r\nEIDO specially commends the appointment of the immediate past President of Ebonyians in Diaspora Organization, Prof. D. D. Nwibo, as Deputy Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki — a decision that reflects both trust in diaspora expertise and a strong belief in Ebonyi talent. EIDO also applauds the creation of the Ministry for Special Duties and the Diaspora Desk under the leadership of Hon. Commissioner Valentine Okike, to provide a bridge between the State and her global citizens. EIDO supports all the government\'s developmental programmes, just as members offer hands of fellowship to the state government in any way their support is needed.\r\n\r\n\r\nEIDO appreciates Ebonyi State - born Dr. Gideon Sorochi Okorie, a dedicated staff of the University of Greater Manchester, who has sacrificially mentored, organised and served as a guardian and father figure to Ebonyi Scholars therein.\r\n\r\nTo every Ebonyian listening to this broadcast — whether you are in Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia, or anywhere in the world — this is your moment. EIDO is your family. EIDO is your platform. EIDO is your voice. Ebonyians are one people, with one destiny. Join EIDO to lend your skills, your time, your resources, and your passion in support of the Ebonyi People\'s Charter of Needs agenda and build an Ebonyi State that is strong, inclusive, and prosperous. Together, we can show the world the true strength of Ebonyians beyond borders.\r\n\r\nEIDO promises unity, purpose, and impact to all Ebonyians. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Take that step with us, and let us build the Ebonyi of tomorrow, today.\r\n\r\nEIDO— Proudly Ebonyian, united by destiny and globally impactful!
